After assurances that the club RIB was finally in full working order, a dive trip was organised. The divers (both of us) turned up to the news that the battery had needed assistance to get the engine started and that the instruments still didn't work.
Stan - our equipment officer and cox for the day - tried to get a battery in time to still let us dive, but nothing suitable was available. After a cup of tea and bacon sandwich each we had no choice but to head home.
Sorry about the quality of the photographs but they are from my mobile phone.

Thanks to Stan anyway for the effort, and here's hoping we can get a successful trip soon.
