Diving with friends - Farn Islands

The Harrow Sub-Aqua Club is a non-profit making club for people who want to learn to dive as well as experienced scuba divers from any diving agency.

We are based in Harrow, but our members come from a wide area north, south, east and west!

As a branch of the BSAC organisation (the largest dive club in the world!) we train new divers to dive and also run a regular series of courses for the more experienced divers, all to the highest professional standards.

As a club, it is the energy and enthusiasm of our members and qualified instructors which keeps the club going and keeps the new members coming in. This means that there's always the opportunity to get involved... in training, sorting out equipment, organising social event and fund raising, sorting out the finances, or whatever you're interested in!

So, if you are over 18, are able to swim, and are looking for a friendly place to learn, contact us and come along to one of our pool nights and say 'hello' (bring a costume if you like!).

And of course, if you are an 'older-hand' looking for a new place to dive, or one who has had their kit hanging in a cupbord for a few too many years, come along too.

If you are qualified by another diving agency, that's no problem. It's very easy to transfer your qualification to the BSAC, and then you have the advantage of all your further training being 'at cost'!

There are social events for the whole family like after-dive barbeques, or just come along to the pub on Thursday night.

We dive in all sorts of places! For example, in 2006 our UK dive trips included Plymouth, Portland, Portsmouth, Littlehampton, and the Farne Islands. We have also had trips to the Maldives and Sharm-El-Sheikh on the Red Sea. Most of our dives are on wrecks but we also do some drift dives, wall dives, and shore dives. There are thousands of wrecks around the British coast, sunk by the weather, collisions, or by actions in WW I and II.

Come on down... we look forward to meeting you!
